In Minsk is built a hypermarket OMA with investments into 13 million dollars

At ceremony of the beginning of building on September, 8th the vice-president of Mingorispolkom Oleg Tabanjuhov has informed that to realisation of the project of a construction of a hypermarket on trade in the building and economic goods of OMA in Minsk will be directed an order of 13 million dollars.

"We begin today building of a unique hypermarket on realisation of building materials. In Minsk while there are no such large objects on realisation of building materials, and it will be one of the first who will begin development of such shopping centres", — Tabanjuhov has noted.

He considers successful the chosen site — crossing of the Minsk ring highway and the Dzerzhinsky avenue — taking into account that before a city there is a problem of a construction of large objects along capital ring highway. According to the assistant to the head of Mingorispolkom, the object is planned to hand over in July, 2010. The site total area makes 2,8 hectares, the object area — 8.000 sq. metres, including trading premises — more than 5.000 sq. metres.

According to the general director of Open Company OMA fulfilling duty Michael Homichenka, "on hypermarket regiments the goods of the Belarus manufacture" will be as much as possible presented. In total it will be presented over 45 thousand names of the goods.

As strategic partners of the Belarus company within the limits of realisation of the given project the Finnish corporation Kesko and its Lithuanian partner Senukai act. Also the partner is the group of the companies on attraction of investments Zabolis Partners (Lithuania). The group of companies Litana acts as the general builder which head office is in Lithuania. According to president of Litana Igor Frizena, in a hypermarket construction will be used basically production of the Belarus manufacture, and the Belarus contract organisations will build the hypermarket.

Company OMA has been based in Belarus in March, 1992 and today is one of leaders in the market of sales of building materials and tools, the goods for the house, a garden, a kitchen garden. The company has branches in all regional centres. The retail network is presented by shops of different formats in Minsk, Gomel, Bobruisk, Baranovichi. Company staff person exceeds one thousand.
