Minsk will grow with 5th microdistricts

Two new town-planning projects are confirmed at recent session of Mingorispolkom. According to one of them there will be four new microdistricts in vicinities of present village Suharevo. There living space will make 530 thousand square metres of habitation, house warming will celebrate more than 21 thousand persons. It is supposed to erect three schools to 3600 pupils, some kindergartens.

Now in village Suharevo – 700 persons some live in expensive cottages from above. Whether will take down all farmstead building while it is not known. However at session of the Executive Committee of the City Soviet of People's Deputies it has been noticed that with each owner of the house or a withdrawn site individual negotiations will be carried on, to be offered different variants of resettlement.

The second project covers 15 hectares between Mayakovsky's street, in transit through Svisloch and the river. Here is planned to construct about 20 thousand square metres of habitation, and the microdistrict population will make almost 16 thousand persons. Under the new plan the part of a present multiroom available housing along Mayakovsky's street is subject to a pulling down. Street will expand to eight strips, here equip two underground pedestrian crossings — near the Recreation centre of Open Society "Kamvol" and on crossing with street Solar. Also it is provided to prolong street Plehanova to Mayakovsky's street.
